It's ridiculously HOT outside. I'm practically sweating right now, in the library. Demo, it's ALWAYS hot in the library. I might have to zip down this jacket. It's a real thin jacket, so the only thing I have underneath is my 'beater. But really, it's just too hot. It was 50 degrees when I walked out of the house, and it felt like 75. I had to roll down my windows to get some air. That and I didn't feel like turning the heat off, because my legs take a long time to actually warm up. Bad circulation? Probably.

I checked my email last night, and I saw 'Class Email: Physical Geology' and I went "hmm..." Yeah, turns out it was cancelled due to sickness. Sounds pretty serious because he added, 'if I'm not there, I'll send a subsitute on Wednesday.' or something to that degree. There has been something of a bug going around school, with people just KOFFING all over the place. [ cool nerd points if you know what that reference is to.] But, I already got my cold ages ago, so I'm good till summer or something.

Back to weather. Yeah, it's hot. People are already busting out shorts and flipflops but check this out:

Yeah, it's going to be so COLD, you'll be sneezing ... ice boogers or something. Lucky I did laundry last night (in one shot!) so I have fresh sweaters and extra clothing I might need. Although, I'm kinda concerned about tomorrow simply because we're supposed to get some nasty weather, and if it's anything like a couple of months ago when it just went to hell in a handbasket, ie, tornadoes, transit not running, damn thunderstorms, EPICNESS, driving through torrential rains at 70 mph - which is the absolute worst you can do, but it's also awesome at the same time. Oh yeah, classes were basically cancelled too...and I really didn't have to go to school, but I did anyway. I was just glad that we didn't have to march out in it, because we probably would've done it if it wasn't lighting. Pouring down cats and dogs? No problem; just put up the instruments and use your flipfolder for a subsitute!

... <_<. I was just lucky that I didn't have a perm that day.

I discovered today, that there is different colored lead for pencils. I was just plain confused as to how people are finding blue pencils and drawing these awesome pics, even if they are sketches. It just looks better. So, to kill time today, I was in the bookstore, and I just kinda looked up and there it was: blue AND red lead. Of course, I had to buy the .5 pencil because I didn't have one on me, so I just got a cheap one. But I had such a dilemma of whether or not getting the blue, red, or both. People, I will stand there and look at them like I'm making a life-changing decision. And I did. For about 5 minutes. I had to keep in mind that I had to have money for the next 2 days to sustain my bottomless pit of a stomach, or maybe even 3. I also need gas...

But I did get the blue one, and I waited for my english class. I found a piece of my sketchbook and I kinda just drew on it... aa! I drew something that wasn't all screwy. Speaking of, I was doodling on Friday, and *poof* I made something of an angry face. It came out good. Hell, it's psuedo-bish, which is an achivement for me because, I can't draw 'manly' eyes worth nothing. Maybe it's the brows... and I draw a kawaii one too, but i kinda squished it. Who cares though?

The other day, I got the BRILLIANT idea that I wanted to watch-play (watch, but it feels like you're playing) Gears of War. On to youtube I go, and there's no cutscenes...or is there? Well, someone did make them, however, it was the Japanese version of GoW, which really intrigued me. I was going to watch it on stuckgamer.com, but there was a guy narrating and I went bleh, so, I just went ahead. Maybe it's because I'm so used to hearing things in Japanese so it was pretty natural. I know somethings were lost in translation (particularly Cole...) but I got the general gist. It really reminds me of Starship Troopers, but it's not Earth. The Locusts? Holy shit. I forget one of them, but it makes this weird cross between a angry Tasmanian and revving engine. It's a really unnerving sound, and it just scared me. Not Regenerador scary, but it's up there.

The music? I want that soundtrack. It's just... man, it's tense! It really fits everything... and it's orchestral. YES~, I just love orchestral music for games. If done right anyway... but it's more memorable to me, because, when I hear it, I can go back and actually a scene or whatever, and the emotional impact. One track I distinctively heard a bassoon, bass clarinet, and I think a double bass, and it was all darkish and stuff. And that room was dark. It was during a place where that you had to use any sort of light so that you won't get eviserated by these things. Apparently, they are allergic to light, as they EXPLODE upon sight of light.

One gripe I had with GoW, was the length of story. It was too short. But hey, that's what are sequels for. They already announced it about a couple months ago. I just want the soundtrack...

Oh yeah, when I watched the ending, during the credits? I couldn't help but laughing, because in all honesty, that's what my brother would probably do and/or say. It just reminds me.
